" Analytical ultracentrifugation, a technique of choice for the study of macromolecular interactions"

by :Christophe Velours

Engineer on the Macromolecule Interaction Measurement (PIM) platform of the Institute of Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC - Gif-sur-Yvette / Saclay / Orsay)

Resume :

Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) is a technology that allows the characterization of auto and hetero-association processes of macromolecules in solution. It has a high sensitivity which allows the use of compounds ranging from the peptide to large macromolecules. Using several detection techniques, various macromolecules (Protein, DNA, RNA, protein-detergent complex, etc.) can be studied, which makes it possible to address many biological problems.

Invited by the Integrative Structural Biology team and by the PAIB (Plateau for the Analysis of Biomolecular Interactions) in the framework of the weekly seminars of the UGSF.

Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 - Amphitheater of the Campus CNRS of the High Borne (CCHB), Villeneuve d’Ascq
